Saturday, 3rd May - May Day CelebrationsThe Moulton Morris Men will be dancing in Market Hill Square starting at 10.30 am.
There will be a Children's Fancy Dress Competition for ages 5 to 10 years. Girls, May Queen - Boys, Robin Hood. Gardens on a plate for ages 7 to 11 years. Entries to be taken to the Methodist Church by 10.00 am. A prize for every entrant. Fancy Dress Parade and prizes at 11.00 am in the Methodist Church. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Baby Show organised by the Rothwell Citizens Welfare Committee. They would like to trace the winners of the Champion Baby Cup from the last 50 years - the names are displayed in the Heritage Centre. If you were a Champion Baby or are related to them could you please take in a photo, past and present if possible. Annual Carnival Parade and Fete, starting from Moorfield Road to the Rothwell Town Football Club. There will be a Marching Band, Majorettes, Storm Cheerleaders and Vintage Cars. Thee will all perform at the Fete where there will be various stalls and refreshments.
